Foxy lady

Hia ladies! Long time no see! My computer let me down big time as one of the hard drives died.*Gaaaah* And needless to say it took some time to get my PC back on track and I lost all data stored on the hard drive. Booo! Well suits me right for not having a backup. ;) Ive learned my lesson now and have set up a regular backup session once a week. I wont let this happen one more time! Luckily none of my pics were on that particular hard drive but I lost some valuable data.

And yes there is a new fox in town or mutiple I should say. ;) I was after this dress when in Copenhagen this autumn but the shop was closed so I had it shipped to me instead. :) I love the fox print of course but the dress itself came up short, I prefer below knee or just above knee length. So I felt a little out of sorts when wearing it but my colleagues paid me so many compliments and jokes I might add. :) Somehow this dress made them laugh, so I was the talk of the office that day. :P
If you havent noticed already my cardi sticks to the term woodland animals as well, fox, squirrel and rabbit. So cute! :)

Here is one shot without the cardi to show you the sleeves. Im too much of a freezing stick to wear it cardiless.

Close up with cardi.

My top picks from the White Stuff winter collection 2014

Ever since I visited the White Stuff shop in Copenhagen earlier this autumn I havent been able to focus on another brand of clothing. Ive been a fan of WS for some time already but now Im fallen head over heels in love again. Its so bad Ive been fantasizing about setting up my own WS shop here in Norway (Unfortunately we dont have WS here). Im living in the countryside on a farm and my dream is to renovate one of our buildings to accommodate a shop of some kind. WS would be perfect in these rural surroundings. :) Crazy I know but a girl can dream right? dream big! ;)

One thing I love about WS is that they are pouring out new collections only with a few weeks apart. Im a sucker for new stuff. :) Without further ado I present you my favourites from their three new winter collections, Gypsy caravan, Barnmaster and Winter fables.

Gypsy Caravan

Deer jumper - anything deer is dear to me. :P

Roma skirt - I love this vibrant skirt and there is a bird or two. ;)

Caravan cardi - I love WS knitwear and this cardi is no exception, love the little dots of colour and fairisle pattern.

Folkloric top - the print is sooo cute!

Gypsy caravan reversible skirt - the same theme from the top above, lovely!

Gypsy wish skirt -love the horse print with dots of bright colours and not to forget the blue bobble  hemline. :)

Barnmaster

Chicken jumper - soo cool - chickadeedledoo

Stable shirt - love the little ditsy owls. :)

Winter Fables

Victoria dress - so perfect for winter! :) I need a dress that keeps me both stylish and warm. ;)

Violetta cardi - I have a thing for long cardis this autumn and just love this shade of purple. :)

Feel free to tell me your favourite items from the White Stuff collections. :)

* disclosure - this is not a sponsered post, Im just expressing my love for WS.

Casual Fridays - the patterned top/jumper edition

Hia ladies! How you doin? Im sorry for the infrequent posting (yet again) but turns out Im pretty exhausted juggling working full time, taking care of a toddler and run a household so come evenings Im a mess or couchpotato to be precise. ;) I will try to do a better job at blogging, bear with me please. :)

Well as Im running from chore to chore I tend to favour the more practical outfits. For me such outfits consist of jeans/jeggings paired with a top/jumper. To prevent them from looking boring I try to wear an interesting and eyecatching top/jumper. This outfit is the perfect example of my preppy casual style. :) My sister spotted this top in Copenhagen and of course I couldnt leave the store without a frenchie on my chest!! :) A frenchieface covered in sequins, whats not to love. ;)

What Im wearing:
Top from Esprit (recent)
Jeggings from Dr.Denim (recent)
Shoes from Softinos (recent)

As the weather has been pretty awful lately (rainstorms and a lot of rain, typical autumn) I havent got the chance to step outside for photos. So here are some indoors shots using my Iphone with my work office as backdrop. :) Looking at this outfit you might think where have the colours gone, hehehe. I guess the muted scandinavian style has rubbed off, but I can cope with it as long as there is a wolf involved. ;)

Cardigan from Lindex (recent)
Top from Esprit (recent)

Jumper from H&M (recent)

See, I havent totally forgotten my colourful self. ;)

Jumper from Boden (last year)
Shirt from Lindex (last year)

Well as you can see Im hard at working out this sewing business, Im slowly getting there. :) This is supposed to look like a dress for my little girl in the end. ;)
Have a lovely weekend! :)

Chip on my shoulder

Hia! Its not like I have chip on my shoulder these days but more like one on my chest and a pack down below. ;) Hehehe. This is to me one of my cutest outfit I have ever come up with, totally adorable. :) and maybe a little childish, but hey thats me. ;) When I bought the skirt I had totally forgotten about the squirrel cardi (too much clothes eh?) and I jumped of joy when I found it in the back of my closet by chance. :)

The skirt is of course from Boden, no surprise there. :) There is even a squirrel dress too which Im lusting after of course. It was just released among the rest of the winter collection this week, lots of droolworthy items Id say. :) Well dont be shocked if I turn up in a squirrly dress sometime in the future, hihihi. ;) No surprise to my colleagues at the office as well, I think they must be sick of me wearing all kinds of creatures. :) My obsession with animal prints is starting to show for real. ;)

I started my sewing class yesterday, yes Im going to learn how to sew clothes for my daughter and myself, preferably dresses and skirts if I manage. :) An aspiring seamstress but boy did I struggle yesterday, certainly Im not blessed in anything crafty. But I had a good time and learned a lot. Now I only have to make time to sit down and befriend my sewing machine, we are not on the best of terms yet. :P The rest of the class got homework but according to our teacher I apparently must be supervised when sewing. *blushes and hangs head down in shame* In other words a sewing disaster! Im wondering how this course is going to work out. ;) Stay tuned for more sewing bloooooopers. :P

Doggiestyle

Uhm yea whats up with the title you might think. ;) Well Im just refering to my newly purchased skirt, look lots of doggies or greyhounds to be precise. ;) As a dedicated dog lover I just about grab anything doggierelated, especially when it comes to clothes. :) My heart belongs to the French Bulldog of course but greyhounds are pretty cool too. ;) Besides my closet is brimming of French Bulldogs lately, they seem to be a favourite print on clothes these days. More of that later, you`ll see. :)

Boy, did I have a blast in Copenhagen!! Luuuuuuuuve that city, so beautiful, friendly and easy to get around. :) and not to mention the White Stuff shop, gosh I dont know how many hours we spent in that shop, hehehehee. The shop staff must have been sick of us in the end, occupying their fitting rooms for hours, giggling and trying on almost every item of clothing in the store. We behaved like children in a candystore, literally. :P Needless to say this skirt is from White Stuff. :) My love for WS has certainly hit another level *sparkles in my eyes* By the way WS is having a midsale now, up to 50 % off. I might have happend to buy me some more goodies. ;)  Ups photobombed by one of our four cats, this one goes by the name of Blackie cause well she is black and all.......:P

Hehehe looking quite smug about myself in my new skirt and oh new shoes as well! :) bought in Copenhagen, the brand is called Softinos, never heard of them before. I found them in a Fly London store, they are so soft its like walking on air. Im very very pleased with them! My sister and I bought the same shoes, hehehe she chose the black ones and I went for the grey. :) We sometimes happen to share the same taste in clothes and shoes but my sis stays clear of the bright colours which I thrive for. :)

If you like to see what we were up to in Copenhagen (the few snaps I managed between running from shop to shop) you might follow me on Instagram. :) My profile is private but I never decline a follower request. :) Have a lovely autumnal week!

Mrs duck

Hello, anybody out there?? Didnt think so. ;) Please accept my sincerest apologies for neglecting my poor blog of late. Ive been very busy with my kiddo starting kindergarten and behold a few weeks later we all came down with the worst cold ever! Im still on the mend but feeling better everyday. So there you have it, the joys of having a kid in kindergarten, Im looking forward dreading whats next. ;) Im back at work and did manage to get dressed as well. ;) hehehee

So todays featured animal is the duck! :) Must keep up my wardrobezoo roll you know. ;) The skirt is from White Stuff, one of my favourite British brands. :) If you havent visited their store in Edinburgh you definitely should, the changing rooms are so much fun and like nothing you have seen before. ;)

And speaking of White Stuff stores, Im actually planning on visiting one next week as Im off to Copenhagen, Denmark!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Im soooo excited you wouldnt believe it *jumping up and down* My sister and I are leaving husbands and kids at home and are treating ourselves a long weekend of shopping and relaxation (sleep yay!). Neither of us have been to Copenhagen before, its gonna be so much fun exploring the city and not to forget the shops. Shopping spree anyone? ;) It will be the first time Im away from my little one for a longer period of time, Im wondering how thats gonna feel. At least she will be safe and sound with her daddy taking good care of her. :)

Do you fancy White Stuff as well? :) Do let me know! :)

In the midi hour

Ah, I think I have found the perfect midi skirt! Midi skirts are one of my favourite items to wear, makes me feel all ladylike and elegant. :) I sometimes wish I was living in the 1940-50s when it was fashion and mandatory for women to wear skirt and dresses with a decent length. :) Not sexy you say? Well I beg to differ, its sexy in a more subtle way ( which I prefer anyway). ;)

Full and twirly, just my cup of tea! :) Ive dressed it down rather casually this time around, but I cant wait to play with it some more, endless ways of styling it I believe. :)

And it has pockets, yay! :) So where can you get this beauty you might ask. Its from H&M actually, I encountered it on the sale online, never seen it in the stores. And did I mention, its perfect to hide any post pregnancy baby bump and similar lumps. ;) Full score in my book! :)

This week Im on vacation or should I rather say staycation. :) Im off work for three weeks as my little girl is starting nusery/kindergarden. Today was her first day and it went rather badly. Lots of tears and she didnt feel at home at all with the other children and staff. :( Hopefully she will come around by the end of my vacation, it takes time to adjust from spending the days at home to the hustle and bustle at the nursery. Its really good for her to get out and spend some time with other children I believe. I didnt attend nursery when I grew up as there werent any and I was terrified of the other kids when I started preschool. In the end my shyness led me to be bullied by the other children, a fate I certainly dont wish for my little girl.

Summer in the name of maxis

Another maxi who would have thought? ;) Its been one HOT summer beating all previous records. Never ever have we had so many days with 30 C, its like living in southern Europe I imagine. :) Even worse cause we are not used to this heat up north and swealtering away. :) Surely this weather calls for a maxi! :)

This maxi is from Boden (surprise!), the summer collection 2013. I bought it last year when I was heavily pregnant so this is the first time Im wearing it. Instant love!

Well I reckon my collection of Boden maxis will continue to grow, they are just perfect in every way. :) Im wearing a UK 8L and the length is super! :) A maxi is the perfect summer wear I think. :)

What Im wearing:

Maxi dress from Boden (SS 2013)
Sandals from Fly London

I  have to tell you my little pumpkin just turned 1 year  two weeks ago. :) I still remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. Funny that. ;)

Love you to the moon and back little sunshine! :) <3 <3 <3

Bodenista - maxi dress

Surprise, surprise, another Boden review coming up. :) This beauty (meaning the maxi dress) is called the Maya maxi dress and totally lovable. I wore it for the first time this weekend in very hot weather (30 C) and I felt like I had nothing on, talking of comfortable or what? :)

This is my second maxi dress from Boden and Im really pleased with it. :) Im wearing an UK size 8L (long) and its just the perfect length on me being 5"7. I chose to wear it with a tank top for modesty reasons, its quite low cut as you can see.

Its a bargain to be had, 60 % off these days. :) And it goes without saying that I luuve the colours and pattern, again. ;) hehehehee. No Im not on Bodens payroll or anything, I just cant shut up about how wonderful the Boden clothes are. :)
